Collection of Debris gathered by Cruisers

Annual Sweep

Some Cruisers won’t be able to get debris back to mainland so we offer a service to leave it under some trees for later collection.

In Nov/Dec annually we will sweep the reef from North to South to collect all bags and larger items left by cruisers

Collect bags using OC landing barge

Audit debris for weight/volume/type

Separate recycling and dispose of remaining responsibly

Commercial equipment

Our boats are big and need a truck to tow them. We also utilise the truck’s crane to remove bulk bags from boat to lessen lifting for crew. The truck is a tipper to make disposal at facility even easier.

Bags collected from islands & poured into recycled bulk bags

Debris sorted as they are poured into bulk bags to pull out recyclables

Bags lifted by crane off boat and onto truck

Truck tipper used to dispose at council facilities

We need a Bigger Boat

We have a ‘new to us’ 8.3m barge for this program. It was recovered off the bottom of the Brisbane River in the 2022 floods. We’re converting it to be useable for us. It still needs

Welding of transom (to fit twin outboards) and new 3/4 length hard top

Installation of twin Yamaha Outboards

Installation of electronics/lighting/pumps etc.
