Yes you read it right. Not only is the plastic bag a threat to life in the ocean, over in the UAE it is the source of 50% of camel deaths. Since running this campaign I have had calls from farmers who have lost cows to plastic bags but even I never thought that plastic bags would kill camels yet the report that you can view via the link below states that this is the case.

So why do we still use these convenient items if they kill every type of animal in the world it seems. Simply because we are lazy. So I am pleading with you, please stop using plastic bags and sign our petition that is lobbying the Australian government to put a ban in place.
